singer will finally be introduced.
The second edition of the debut LP is
here at last. Red 180 g vinyl, coming with patch and poster. Available from

Various news tonight.
First off we finally have some new t-shirts. Two different motifs
available, have
a look
here.
Due to huge demand, Portrait's debut album will
be pressed on LP a second time this autumn. Red vinyl this time; label again is
High Roller.
Also await a US version of the CD on
Holycaust Records.
The shows scheduled for October and
November (Germany, Holland, Finland) will be carried out with former
vocalist Philip behind the microphone. Meanwhile the search for a new
singer goes on.

Portrait and vocalist Philip
Svennefelt have parted ways, due to musical and personal differences.
This means that the band is now looking for a lead singer. Interested
parties are hereby urged to get in touch at
portrait_metal@hotmail.com.
Another note of importance: Lately there has been some trouble
with our PayPal account. People who might have possibly ordered
something and not received it, please drop us a line and we will sort
this out.

The LP is sold out from the label since more than a month and the band
has somewhere around 5 copies left to sell, so act fast if you want one.
The t-shirts are temporarily out of stock as well, but we are waiting
for new ones.
By the way, rumours reached us that the reason for that
Belgian gig in May being cancelled would have been Portrait
suddenly demanding twice the amount first agreed upon with
the organizer.
This is not true, and they know it as well as we do.

The show in Ghent, Belgium the 9th of May has been cancelled by
the organizer. We
are not yet entirely clear about what went wrong, so for now you'd
better ask him... See you all
at the Long Live
Metal festival on Saturday instead.

It is done, and the release date is set to
April 3rd. On this monumental night, which is also the night before the
tenth Keep it True festival, a release party will be held at the
Georgsmühle in Oberbalbach, which is 2 km from the KIT venue. 20:00,
free entry. Be there!

Added a rough mix of one song from the album to
that MySpace site
tonight. And the
"Heavy Metal Darkness" t-shirt is available
again.

Portrait got ranked as the best unsigned band of the year 2007 in a
reader vote published in the last issue of
Sweden Rock Magazine,
also featuring a short interview with Christian.
In other news; during the recording of the album, David and
Richard have decided to switch instruments (guitar and bass) in the
band.
We can also make official the names of the labels to release the
album: Iron Kodex (ex-New Iron
Age) will take care of the CD, while the LP will
come on High Roller.

All Portrait merchandise except the demo has again sold out. We are
waiting for more t-shirts and will inform you from here as soon as we
get them. As for the demo no more copies will be printed, and of this
final edition there are around 30 left...
The forthcoming, self-entitled album starts to manifest and
will without doubt destroy you all. These nights, the vocals are
recorded.
